16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulder head of lady with oval face and elongated throat, black sculpted hair with clusters of curls at center forehead and nape of neck, wide pouf curls at the sides and painted gilt headband at the crown and sculpted barrette at the back, sculpted pierced ears, bright-blue painted eyes, red and black upper eyeliner, single-stroke brows, new muslin stitch-joined body and bisque lower limbs, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1870. Value Points: deeply sculpted hair is enhanced with decorative glaze, excellent bisque and painting.
