Description
5" (13 cm.) Each has amber-tinted complexion, bisque swivel head on bisque torso, brown glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, black mohair wig, peg-jointed arms and legs, one with painted white stockings and blue slippers, and the other in thigh-high black stockings with brown one-strap shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 852 2/0 (on one) 3/0 (the other). Comments: Germany, circa 1890. Value Points: rare dolls with fine quality of bisque and painting, unique painted Asian slippers and silk costume on one.
