Description
18" (46 cm.) Felt swivel head with pressed and painted facial features, inset blue glass eyes, closed mouth with gentle smile, brunette mohair curled wig, all-velvet body with jointing at shoulders and hips, wearing original flowered dress, undergarments, coral woolen double-breasted coat with matching flower-trimmed cloche, and matching socks and shoes. The doll is marked Hygienic Toy Made in England by Chad Valley Co, Ltd. Generally excellent, slight costume fading. Circa 1935. The doll is shown in the photograph of Shirley Temple's doll collection, Appendix E.
