18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate with Dehors articulation allowing the head to tilt side to side and nod forward, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, kid poupee body with shapely torso, gusset jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers, antique costume. Condition: bisque excellent, kid body darkened, hands worn. Comments: French, circa 1867, attributed to Dehors who deposed the realistic neck articulation system in that year. Value Points: beautiful bisque and brilliant eyes, rare articulation.
