Description
17" (43 cm.) Solid domed bisque flanged head with café-au-lait complexion, painted shaded black hair and brows, tiny black sleep eyes, closed mouth, full lips, on original brown cloth body with bisque hands matching the facial complexion, unusual elongated curved legs with sewn on Brownie shoes having upturned toes, wearing antique Brownie style costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Heubach Koppelsdorf 399 4/0 DRGM Germany. Comments: circa 1920, an unusual rendition of the model suggesting the Brownie's of Palmer Cox appears entirely original and apt.
