Mid-19th Century Viennese Ballspenden with Photograph of Empress Elisabeth

The oval shaped box is lavishly covered with blue silk,striped silk ribbons and gilt paper,and features a gilt-paper-framed image of the beloved Empress Elisabeth (known as Sissi) in the early years of her reign. The image has been identified as that taken of Sissi on the day of her coronation as Queen of Hungary in 1867. Excellent condition. Vienna,mid-19th century.
