35" (89 cm.) Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, plump facial modeling, articulation of head that allows it to tilt side to side and forward as well as swivel, almond shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with shapely torso, gusset-jointing at hips, knees, and elbows, stitched and separated fingers, wearing deluxe silk taffeta gown with lavish lace and floral trim, undergarments, shoes. Condition: generally excellent, very fine invisible restoration at each back side of head, some body patching. Comments: attributed to Dehors, the realistic system of neck articulation was deposed by him in 1867. Value Points: perhaps the largest model known to exist with the rare Dehors deposed articulation, enhanced by beautiful bisque and expression.
