Three Boxed Sets of Early Paper Dolls

Including 9" Fanny Elssler in original box with double-sided doll, and 6 double-sided costumes and 5 matching hats, with vibrant varnish finish (ink script on box lid 1851); and 4" single-sided Jenny Lind which lists 10 costumes on the inside lid with reference to the performance whose costume is shown (the costumes have a small paper number on the back of each which corresponds to the chart on the lid); and 8" double-sided Psyche from Journal de Modes along with six double-sided gowns and two bonnets. Each of the dolls is presented in its original box with engraving of the doll on the lid. Boxes are worn, dolls have some play wear, costumes are well-preserved. Mid-1800s.
