11" (28 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head with sculpted topknot, side curls and forelock curl, brown glass side-glancing googly eyes, dark eyeliner, dark painted curly lashes, dash brows, tiny nose, closed mouth with thin line smile, composition and wooden ball-jointed body with very chubby torso, jointing at shoulders, side-hip jointing of short legs, jointed knees, spread-apart fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Ges Gesch JDK O'Neill 10 (head) O'Neill (stamp on foot). Comments: designed by Rose O'Neill, and made in Germany, circa 1912. Value Points: the captivating Kewpie has great expression, wonderful bisque, rare original signed body with original finish.
