Description
8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque torso, very plump cheeks, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, blonde mohair wig, peg-jointed arms and legs, painted white stockings with blue rims, painted yellow five-lace ankle boots with black heels and spats. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 2 111 (torso) 2 (legs). Comments: Germany, circa 1880, attributed to Alt, Beck and Gottschalk. Value Points: rare model with wonderful details of modeling, especially of legs and hands, fancy yellow boots, beautiful face.
