Description

24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head with deeply defined characterization, painted blue eyes with shaded detail, thick black upper eyeliner, incised eyeliner, one stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with pouty expression on shaded lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, antique cotton dress and pinafore, undergarments, stockings, shoes. Condition: small firing separation at back crown rim with 1" emanating hairline, wig pulls, otherwise excellent. Marks: K*R 114 64. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt from their art character series, the model marketed as Gretchen, circa 1910. Value Points: wonderful larger size with outstanding quality of modeling, well defined dimples and pout creases, fine bisque, gorgeous full mohair wig, original body.
