The richly-caved silverplate mantel clock with scrolled base that supports the figure of a cherub with gong and hammer has mother-of-pearl back with silver overlay,two spiral-twist mother-of-pearl columns,and a porcelain face with gilt and black numbers and trim. The back panel opens for access to the keywind,and original key is included. Excellent condition,clock functions. Mid-19th century,probably French.
