24" (61 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head with slender oval face, strong elongated throat, black sculpted hair arranged in looping curls low onto side face and behind the ears, with long ringlet curls low onto the back shoulders and clasped by a hair band at the nape, painted facial features, blue eyes, defined eye liner and brows, aquiline shaped nose, closed mouth, blushed cheeks, slender kid body with wooden limbs. Condition: original finish throughout with typical rubs and scratches, bit weak at waist. Comments: Germany, circa 1840. Value Points: fine large size paper mache with very beautiful face and elaborate coiffure, (frail) dress may be original.
