Description

8" (20 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass eyes, painted features, slightly parted lips, teeth, blonde mohair wig, five piece paper mache body with painted brown stockings and black shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 44-18. Comments: Gebruder Kuhnlenz, circa 1890, the doll wears a wonderful lace trimmed dress and undergarments, and is presented in a fine wooden cabinet with inlay designs, opening at top and center front to reveal a well fitted interior with velvet lining, ormolu hooks for accessories, and holding additional dress, basket, opera glasses, pearls, and purse.
