21" (53 cm.) Solid domed bisque shoulder head, black sculpted hair in short boyish fashion with feathered curls at the forehead, painted pale blue shaded eyes, dark eyeliner, painted all-around lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, kid poupee body with shapely form of one-piece legs, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. 8 B. Comments: Eugene Constant Barrois, circa 1860. Value Points: especially handsome and rare doll with deeply-sculpted hair and well-painted features, maker's signature, wearing antique formal wear gentleman's suit.
