Description
The rose silk gown with low rounded neckline and very full poufed sleeves is overlaid by a sheer frothy crepe de chine that is embellished by embroidered rose flowers. A draped rose satin band edges the neckline and forms into wide rose satin bands that criss-cross the center torso; and there is flounced crepe de chine at the hemline that is accented with rose satin bows. A flowing crepe de chine panel flows down the entire back and helps form into the extended demi-train. Very good condition, some light at one area of crepe de chine, and few small tears. Circa 1870.
