Description
10" (25 cm.) l. folding fans. Including two hand-carved folding fans, one with silver inlays and having painted courtly scenes on both sides of the paper blades, and the other with three rare scenes of bullfights on one side of the paper fan and a Spanish taboret dancer in a merry party scene on the opposite side. Along with six various carved bone and wooden sewing articles including two clamps (one with red silk pincushion) and darning egg which opens to thimble. Sewing articles excellent, fans have some small repairs. Early 1800s.
