20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose blushed eye shadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth, pale shaded lips, dimpled chin and philtrum, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Jumeau 9 (incised and artist checkmarks). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884, the rare model was made for one or two years only. Value Points: most appealing shy expression is well achieved, fine quality of bisque, original body and body finish, wearing original rose silk dress, undergarments, bonnet, rose Jumeau socks, and signed Jumeau shoes.
