Paper mache socket head of plump-faced toddler, blue glass sleep eyes, painted features, open mouth, two porcelain upper teeth, brunette human hair, composition toddler body with jointing at shoulders and hips. Condition: generally excellent, light rubs on far right cheek. Marks: Unis France 287 10. Comments: SFBJ, 1920s, according to Fascinating Dolls, by Samy Odin, this doll and the following (#408) appeared in a Parisian department store that decorated its Christmas windows with dolls dressed as schoolgirls. Value Points: all original doll with rosy-cheeks complexion, original body and wig, wears linen schoolgirl uniform over original blue nylon romper suit.
