Paper mache socket head, blue glass sleep and flirty eyes, mohair lashes, painted lower lashes, dark eye shadow, rounded nose, closed mouth with very full rosebud-shaped lips, original brunette curly wig, five-piece composition toddler body with unusual neck dowel attachment. Comments: SFBJ, 1920s, according to Fascinating Dolls, by Samy Odin, this doll and the previous (#407) appeared in a Parisian department store that decorated its Christmas windows with dolls dressed as schoolgirls; the dolls wear identical matching costumes. Value Points: most appealing model with fine original complexion and painting, flirty eyes, original body and body finish.
