Description
10" (26 cm.) and 18". Each has bisque socket head, painted facial features, blue painted downcast eyes (the larger slightly-side-glancing), black upper eyeliner, one-stroke brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with pouting expression, shaded lips with enhancing glaze, mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, the larger has wig pulls around the head (under wig). Marks: K*R 101 26 (smaller, 46 larger). Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, the model "Peter" from the firm's art character series. Value Points: most endearing pair of older and younger brothers, each with fine facial complexion and painting, endearing wistful expression, the smaller with near mint body, antique costume.
