12" (30 cm.) h. hall mirror. Of chestnut with natural brown finish, the ensemble is carved with elaborate columns and carving, and trimmed with applique brass ornamental garlands and designs, including a superbly detailed sideboard, matching hall mirror with shelf, trestle-style table with four columned legs, grandfather clock and five seating pieces that are upholstered in original luxury-quality patterned silk/velvet with cord and braid trim, comprising settee that is set in an elaborate wooden surround with cabinets, two arm chairs and two side chairs. Condition: near mint. Comments: Germany, circa 1890. The furniture was designed for a larger-scale dollhouse, or would display perfectly with 10"-12" dolls. Value Points: the rarity of the complete ensemble is enhanced by its deluxe quality, with fine cabinetry, brass trims, and superb original upholstery.
