Description
8" (20 cm.) All-wooden ostrich with double-jointed neck, jointed legs, glass inset eyes, carved open mouth, painted yellow beak, black and white paint-feathered body, tall cream legs. Excellent condition. Comments: Schoenhut, circa 1909, well-preserved original finish with detailed feathering, rarer glass eyes and carved open mouth of the first series of ostrich.
