29" (74 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderhead, brilliant deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, brushstroked feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with very full shaded lips and defined dainty tongue tip, pierced ears, brunette human hair wig with cork pate, French body of padded stockinette over metal armature torso and upper limbs, paper mache lower limbs. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F 12 G (early block letters, head and shoulderplate) (original Gesland stamp on body). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1884, with original labeled Gesland body. Value Points: gorgeous bebe with splendid eyes, finest bisque and painting, original body, and wearing very beautiful antique costume.
