Description
6" (15 cm.) woman. Carved wooden jar in the shape of a bonneted woman with elaborate carving of hair, face and costume, with twist opening at the waist; along with a cherrywood treasure box with bone inlays on the front, and hinging open to a carved bone edged mirror and fitted arrangement of carved bone vases, and plates of fruit; and a wooden carved shoe with hinged lip designed as storage for sewing articles. Generally excellent. Early/mid 1800s.
