17" (43 cm.) Bisque socket head with white complexion, painted clown decorations, exaggerated angled black brows, brown glass inset eyes, open mouth, row of teeth, pierced ears, brunette curly mohair wig, French composition body with jointing at shoulders and hips, vintage costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E 6 D. Comments: Denamur, circa 1890. Value Points: well-executed clown decorations, original body and body finish on the bright-eyed doll.
