Bisque socket head with rounded facial shape, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading, painted lashes, arched feathered brows, accented eye corners and nostrils of rounded nose, mauve blushed eye shadow, closed mouth with accented lips, impressed cheek and chin dimples, pierced ears, blonde lambswool wig over Steiner pate, Steiner composition fully-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Sie C 9 (head) (cadeceus stamp on body). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1885. Value Points: rare model with original wig, pate, body, body finish, superb bisque and painting, and wonderful antique costume of fitted blue coat dress that is likely original, undergarments, knit socks, black leather shoes signed Jumeau.
