Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, delicately painted lashes and brows, light rose tinted eye shadow, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, ears pierced into head, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French all-wooden body with shapely torso, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees, swivel jointing at waist and upper thighs. Condition: bisque is excellent, body is structurally excellent albeit finish is scuffed. Marks: 4. Comments: French, circa 1865. Value Points: the plump face and brilliant eyes beautifully contrast the very pale complexion, articulated wooden body, antique gown, undergarments, leather shoes.
