Large and Very Rare German All-Bisque Doll with Jointed Knees

8" (20 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged shapely bisque torso, brown glass sleep eyes, painted lashes, arched brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the slightly smiling lips, blonde mohair wig over plaster pate, peg-jointing at shoulder, jointing at hips and knees allowing the doll to kneel, painted white socks, grey ankle boots with black lacing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 111. Comments: Kestner, circa 1880. Value Points: very rare jointed knee model is enhanced with outstanding sculpting especially around mouth, hands and knees.
