Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, pointy-tip nose with accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over original cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Tete Depose Paris Bebe 8 (head) Paris Bebe (and Eiffel Tower symbol on torso). Comments: Danel and Cie, circa 1890, the model was made for one or two years only. Value Points: rarely found model closely resembling its progenitor, the Bebe Jumeau, yet distinctive; especially rare with original signed "Eiffel Tower" body.
