15" (38 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with black sculpted hair and painted facial features, muslin stitch-jointed body with porcelain lower limbs, painted shoes and socks, red cotton dress. Generally excellent. Germany, circa 1900. An early doll owned by Shirley Temple as indicated by her young age in the photograph in which she is shown holding the doll.
