8" (20 cm.) h. 8" l. Suspended on metal rods from a wooden balancing bar that is attached to a wooden base with decorative paper cover, is a bisque head child with painted facial features and wooden limbs; another wooden rod protruding from the base supports a bisque headed clown with painted facial features. When the metal rods at the back are pushed, the child flips and turns in a series of endless acrobatic movements. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1890. Value Points: simple construction yet allows an infinite number of movements in this charming toy.
