Description
13" (33 cm.) x 11" box. 3 1/2" dolls. Mounted upon a cardboard display frame are eighteen miniature painted bisque dolls, each with sculpted hair and painted facial features, depicting young schoolchildren. Condition: generally excellent, some light dustiness. Comments: Hertwig, circa 1920, preserved in the company's original archives for more than eighty years, originally created as a sample card to be shown during toy fairs and exhibitions. Value Points: an invaluable study guide, the box has original inventory labels, and each doll is wearing its charming schoolchild costume.
