Description

5.5" (14 cm.) Seated in a blue and yellow 3-wheel pedal-car is a man in a lithographed-pattern fur coat, his matching cap extended in his right arm. Behind him sits the pedal-driver holding an umbrella over the passenger. When spring wound, the car moves forward and side to side, while the man raises his hat in welcome, and the driver twirls the umbrella. Marked Lehmann. Excellent condition, mechanism functions well, the brown lithographed umbrella is unusual and may not be original. Comments: Lehmann's EPL model 681, inspired by Admiral Peary at the North Pole in 1909, the toy was introduced some few years later.
