12" (30 cm.) l. 14" w. The lady's writing desk of fine rosewood and burled walnut veneers and with pencil-strip inlays has elegant cabriole legs, a center drawer and two side drawers below the writing surface fitted with tooled green leather and niches that are flanked by curved top drawers. Included with the desk are 20 antique miniature books such as Orphan Willie (1863), Miss Nason's Story (1866), The Cotter's Saturday Night by Robert Burns, and others; and a silverplate statue with carved bone head depicting Joan of Arc. Generally excellent.
