Bisque socket head with plump cheeks and chin, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, wide brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with outlined and shaded lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair over cork pate, original Gesland body with composition shoulder plate, hands and lower legs, and padded metal armature body designed for infinite posing, nicely costumed. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 12 (head). Comments: Gaultier with original Gesland body from deposed system of Pannier, circa 1880, the shapliness of the torso indicates the original presentation of the doll as a young lady rather than child.
