20" (51 cm.) A woven wicker cart with facing seats and gracefully arched shape is fitted with pleated and tufted original silk upholstery and aqua mohair "carpet", has elaborately scrolled metal front, four spoked wheels with original red and gilded paint, and is being pulled by a fur-covered paper mache goat with glass eyes, horns, leather ears. A clockwork mechanism is attached to the underside, and when wound, causes the goat to briskly walk along appeared as though pulling the cart. French, circa 1870. Excellent condition with original deluxe quality fittings, and wonderfully sized for display with dolls, mechanism functions well.
