Pale bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulder plate, almond-shaped blue glass enamel inset eyes with spiral threading, dark eyeliner, delicately painted lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with shaded and accented very full lips, pierced ears, brunette human hand-tied antique wig, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips, knees, elbows, separately stitched fingers and toes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 11 (head and shoulder plate). Comments: French, circa 1870. Value Points: the grand size of the serene-faced poupee is enhanced by delicately tinted bisque, gorgeous eyes, with very sturdy original body and very fine original costume of brown and bronze silk, undergarments, shoes, bonnet.
