11" (28 cm.) A wooden desk with bombe-shaped front has ebonized finish on the sides and legs,while the crest,drawer fronts and bombe front are superbly inlaid with mother-of-pearl and cast bronze against a background of faux-tortoise and sky blue paint. The desk has a lock and key,and is perfectly preserved with remarkable detail of workmanship. French,circa 1865.
