14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head with ebony-black complexion, brown glass inset eyes, black painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, coral lips, black fleecy hair, Steiner composition fully jointed body with dark brown complexion. Condition: very faint old hairlines (paint strokes?) run through eye line and hairline on forehead which is virtually imperceptible. Marks: J. Steiner Bte SGDG Paris Fre A 7 (head) (original Steiner paper label on torso). Comments: Jules Steiner, circa 1890. Value Points: the rare doll has beautiful complexion, original body and body finish, and is wearing her factory-original red silk dress with matching bonnet, with undergarments, stockings and shoes.
