5" (13 cm.) All-bisque standing Kewpie with loop-jointed arms has sculpted topknot, forelock curl and side curls, painted large black side-glancing googly eyes, curly upper lashes, dot brows, closed mouth with impish smile. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: O'Neill (feet). Comments: Kewpie, designed by Rose O'Neill, made in Germany, circa 1912. Value Points: Kewpie is presented in woven wicker basket with ruched blue silk lining and with one drawer; the basket is fitted with various accessories and novelties.
