16 (41 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with lightly-tinted complexion, short black sculpted finger curls, blue painted eyes in deeply-set sockets, black and red upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, accented nostrils of well-defined nose, closed mouth with hint of smile, deeply-impressed cheek dimples, old muslin stitch-jointed body with porcelain lower limbs, flat black shoes with tassel ties. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860. Value Points: very rare sculpted dimples enhanced further by deeply-set eye sockets, original body and porcelain limbs, beautiful antique costume (another early very frail dress is included in which the doll was photographed in early book by Angione).
