All-felt doll with swivel head, pressed and painted facial features, brown side-glancing eyes, fringed upper lashes, one-stroke brows, closed mouth, accented nostrils, brunette mohair wig, five-piece body. Condition: generally excellent, tiny nose tip rub. Marks: VAT made in Italy (label on undergarments). Comments: Messina-Vat, Italy, 1930s. Value Points: the wide-eyed imp, a competitor to Lenci dolls, is wearing a delightful original organdy costume with applique felt flowers, matching cap and shoes.
