26" (66 cm.) Bisque socket head, very deep blue glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve-blushed eye shadow, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined space between the outlined lips, separately modeled pierced ears, wheat-blonde human hair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Jumeau (incised on head) Jumeau Medaille D'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884, the model was made for one or two years only. Value Points: an especially beautiful example of the rare model with finest bisque, gorgeous eyes, original signed body, lovely antique costume including luxury ruffled bonnet, and watch on brooch, and with violin and bow.
