21" (53 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head with black sculpted short hair in boyish fashion, painted facial features, blue eyes, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain arms, nicely costumed in fancy boy's suit. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1865, the boy owns an early boxed learning game "The Multiplication Table in Rhyme" by John Bates of London with early memory cards decorated with fine early engravings, circa 1840.
