17" (43 cm.) Porcelain shoulder head of adult lady with oval face, elongated throat, black sculpted hair in loosely rolled wings drawn into a loosely coiled chignon at the back of head, painted facial features, muslin stitch-jointed body, porcelain arms to above the elbows. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1860, the doll wears a superb early tulle gown with ivory taffeta train, and unusual decoupage medallion of woman encircled by embroidered daisies.
