Description
19" (48 cm.) x 14" framed. A watercolor on card stock depicting the young Queen Victoria in royal robes is accented with applique faux-ermine trim and with embossed silver paper appliques to form her crown, scepter, tassels and jewels. The drawing is mounted on a larger background with an oval silver medallion which encloses the ink inscription "Victoria", and an applique crown above. The entire image is presented in its original frame. The watercolor is in excellent condition, some wear to frame. Circa 1850, a beautifully-executed and decorated portrait of the young British queen.
