6 1/2" (17 cm.) Pink-tinted porcelain shoulderhead of adult lady with heart-shaped face, elongated throat, slightly-modeled bosom, sculpted black hair drawn smoothly around her face and over her ears, then captured into a very long braid which is coiled into a chignon at the back of her head and forming a coronet, then decorated with a tortoise-shell-painted decorative comb, painted blue eyes, black upper eyeliner, accent dots at eye corners and nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: the beauty of the model is rivaled by her rarity, and with exceptional detail of hair and painted comb.
