9" (23 cm.) Paper mache shoulder head of lady with elaborately sculpted hair in tall coiled beehive-shaped chignon and with wide poufs of hair at each side of face, painted facial features, teal-blue eyes, single-stroke brows, closed mouth, slender kid body with wooden lower limbs, antique costume. Condition: very good, some craquelure and retouch on shoulder plate. Comments: Germany, circa 1850. Value Points: rare coiffure, fine original finish on hair and face, original body and (frail) original costume.
