5 1/2" (14 cm.) Bisque swivel head with cobalt blue glass eyes, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, paper mache body with bellows mechanism; when the doll's torso is pressed downward, it causes the doll's right arm to salute. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, circa 1885. Value Points: rare little doll with charming mechanical action is wearing his original silk Marquis costume and hat.
